Nancy Krusen, PhD
Nancy Krusen is in the process of moving universities. She has served on the faculty at Colorado State University and as a tenured professor at Pacific University. She has just been hired as founding director for an occupational therapy clinical doctorate program at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. She received a Ph.D. in occupational therapy from Texas Woman’s University. Her primary research interests and publications include the scholarship of teaching and learning, qualitative methods of inquiry, and constructs of the Occupational Adaptation theoretical frame of reference. Nancy describes her best success as having three opinionated, independent, adult younglings.
Krusen says, ‘I am my parents’ daughter. I enjoy a balance between working hard and finding ways to unwind. Staying active enables my brain to function well. I make time to hike, read, snowshoe, do handwork, and cook, especially in the company of family. From my parents I learned how important it is to connect with other people, to make a difference in the world, to teach and to learn, to love and to be loved.’
